I recorded this CD with the Rhythm Dogs and Danny California in December 2000. At the time we were playing as the "Big Easy Blues Band" and were hosting a regular Monday night blues jam. (Hence the "Blue Mondays" title). After requests from Monday night regulars, we got together with recording engineer, Jan Hauters at Keep in Touch Studios in Beijing to lay down the tracks.

Featuring several favourites from the weekly jam's, the CD goes a long way to capturing the feel of those wild Monday nights at the Big Easy.

Every Monday night, this international ensemble of blues musicians takes the stage at Beijing's premier Blues & Jazz club, the "Big Easy". For those who can't wait for the weekend to start again, (or those who won't admit it's over), "Blue Monday" is the best way to kick-start the week with some down home blues as played by the Big Easy Blues Band. Capturing the band's live feel, these tracks were recorded live in the studio using only a few takes per song. Featuring musicians from four continents, the band blends a mixture of musical styles to produce a hard-hitting performance guaranteed to blow away those Monday blues!
